Kelantan and Prosperity
Driving the pillars of prosperity in Kelantan, Ustaz
Dato’ Bentara Kanan focus on four main areas in order
to achieve the goals of prosperity which are, streng-
thening state finance, improving people’s socioecono-
my status, investments and economics development,
and lastly inftrastructure and physical development.
Strengthening the state finance is key in ensuring a
succesful government. A government must always
makes smart decision in order to generate ample re-
venue and channel it properly to fulfill all the needs
and requirements. Hence, the Ustaz Dato’ Bentara
Kanan emphazised on wise management of funding
and cooperation from all government servants to im-
prove monitoring and to ensure efficient revenue
management and most importantly to practice pru-
dent spending.
The state government through State Economic
Planning Unit has drafted the State Development Plan
for 10 years, from 2015 to 2025. The plan is organized
into the formulated “State Development Policy” which
state;
“A balanced and integrated economic and spritual de-
velopment to make Kelantan into a State that is devel-
oped and prosperous with the blessings and pleasure
of Allah SWT.”
This State Development Policy is driven by five main
pillars , which are; government as an effective ena-
bler; involvement of a competitive private sector as a
growth driver; exploring new economic field which
consist of k-economy, bio-economy and green-econo-
my; creative, innovative and skilfull human capital and
driving economy through conservation of natural re-
sources.
In relation to the improvement of people’s
socioeconomy status, which is responsibi-
lity of the state and as a prosperity state,
Ustaz Dato’ Bentara Kanan realizes about
numbers of people who still do not have
proper site for homes. Hence, to fulfill that
intention, an affordable home programme,
“One Family One Home” has been launched
in order to ensure all the people
of Kelantan can afford to own
in all the State Assembly
