Realising this dying culture, the State Government of
Kelantan through the Cultural, Tourism and Heritage
portfolio together with the State’s Tourism Infor-
mation Centre are fully committed to popularise the
traditional culture. As part of this effort, they have or-
ganised rebana competition at the local and interna-
tional levels.
According to the Chairman of State Committee for
Tourism, Culture and Heritage, Major (R) Dato’ Haji
Md Anizam Ab Rahman, rebana has its unique heritage
value that needs to be reintroduced as this form of art
is an asset, especially to the tourism industry.
