Under this initiative, the Kelantan Tourism Information
Centre (TIC) has gathered five groups, namely Sri
Petani, Sri Tujoh, Merak Awang Selamat, Kelab
Kebudayaan dan Kesenian KADA Tumpat and Sri
Amok Perdana. They are very active in taking part to
perform at the Gelanggang Seni, Kota Bharu as well as
accepting invitations to perform at State Government
events.

“I hope the measures taken by TIC will be able to
strengthen the bond among the enthusiasts and moti-
vate them to continue their effort to revive this art for
our future generations,” said Major (R) Dato’ Haji Md
Anizam Ab Rahman.

He added, “the art of the rebana is indeed a unique
one. Together with its big structure, it’s also presented
in a group that symbolizes unity amongst us. Without
teamwork, the sounds won’t come out right and is not
enjoyable to the listeners - this is the hidden message
behind the art of Rebana Ubi. It is hoped that the
Rebana Ubi will be revived and sustained by the
younger generations and the generations to come”.
